Community and Neighborhood Development,Homeless IssuesMitigation Factors and the Death Penalty,Service Learning and Social Work Education Issue.
Current research activities include working with community organizations, including Community Development Corporations and schools, to maximize educational and employment opportunities for youth and families, particularly from low-income areas. In addition, analysis of NC death penalty cases continue in order to determine impact of mitigation information on sentencing decisions.
As an active member of ACOSA, I am Chair of the Awards Committee, working with a dedicated team of social work professionals to highlight the work of faculty, practitioners and social work students who are making a difference in the field of community and administrative practice.
