Jim Walter Partnership

The Jim Walter Partnership Center is made up of various programs and contracts that help advance the well-being and status of our community across a spectrum of issues. The Center hosts the College Link program, which helps middle school students transition throughout high school and link to the college environment. It was involved in drafting the next Hillsborough County Consolidated Plan. JWPC has evaluated two Weed and Seed outreach anti-crime initiatives and has helped develop and bring funding to community development corporations throughout the area. The Center is taking a leadership role on the development of a community-directed anti-crime handbook and toolkit. Recently, the Center expanded its programming to serve international communities in Central America hosting training programs for agency representatives from Haiti, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and several other countries.
