Prodigy Research
Prodigy is an innovative research and service project that is located at the University
Community Center in a distressed neighborhood once referred to as “Suitcase City.”
The project provides art programs to at-risk youth and diversion intervention programs
for the Department of Juvenile Justice. Approximately 1800 youth are served annually.
A research team of School faculty and research assistants is studying the project
in order to determine its effects on children, families, and the community.
